The task that I had to complete was to make a one minute clip in which I had to use different editing and camera techniques. We had two actors within the story who were Reece Savva and Riley Green, The narrative was simple as we wanted to show an interview that takes place within a school, this was then filmed within a school as it will work well with the rise en scene of the school. The things that i had to include were shot reverse shot, match on action, 180, continuity and rule of thirds. I feel that this went really well, however, if i was to do this again i would like to change the location of certain shot to improve the mise en scene within the shot. An example of this would be the discussion between Riley and Reece, the over the shoulder shot of Riley was too close and makes it difficult for the audience to see Reece. This was a problem because of the way that the room layout, therefore making it difficult to set up the camera in this shot. The match on action of Riley typing went really well however I feel that in the editing the shot should have gone back to a high angle shot. The long take of Reece walking down the halls could have also been better as I felt that it didn't work well as it slowed down the flow of the video. I feel that the editing within this video as well as the cinematography went well, this is because of the fact that the camera was steady throughout and the editing was very consistent and clean. However I do feel that the mise en scene could have been improved as it could have linked more to the video, the video was also effected by the lighting at certain points, for example, when Reece was walking to his interview.
